So if you're looking for the proper donut/coffee shop experience, you're not going to find it here. However, what you will find are very friendly, down to earth small town people who know how to make some damn fine donuts and sell them at a pretty reasonable price. Don't complain about the decor or atmosphere if it saves you money on those great donuts, I say.

Wonderful customer service. Friendly atmosphere fresh food

We were out-of-towners who were in Franklin to see the eclipse. We were up on a cabin with a pretty steep grade and didn't want to come back down until after the eclipse was over, so we were craving donuts when the long weekend was done. A Google search took us to Happy Daze.

The other reviews about the interior are pretty spot on. If you're looking for a spic and span, proper local coffee shop experience, I'm afraid you'll need to look elsewhere. It's in a corner shop in a shopping plaza and might have been some kind of jewelry store at one time, maybe? Some shop with display cases? It's dressed up a bit, I don't want to give you the impression that they didn't make some effort to improve the place, they did, but they didn't make much. It's like they moved in a couple random tables and chairs (like maybe were left over from the former business) and decided to start selling donuts out of the former jewelry store, even using the same display cases. Which is fine, there's not much difference in a baker's display case and a jeweler's display case.

Very good, fresh donuts. Large variety. Good prices ($10/doz) for the quality donuts. Tucked away a bit, behind Smart Rx, but well worth seeking out. Very friendly. Asked her to put a couple dollar tip on the charge, and she said "that's ok, next time". Pretty sure that's what she said last time. My go-to for great donuts.

Kind of a weird place. Not the nicest facility and it seems as though the owners use it as a daycare for children from time to time?? The doughnuts aren't bad though.

Forget Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donuts, Happy Daze, hands down, makes the best donuts I've ever had the pleasure of eating!
