I am genuinely concerned for all the animals in these people's care. When I walked in, the two guys there greeted me and were overall nice, but I quickly realized the awful conditions the animals are in. It was obvious they don't put effort into cleaning the cages or into the animals.

This place does A grade grooming, I have seen the birds taken care of every time I have visited. I find it weird this store has reviews about the rooms being hot and the animals not being taken care of this couldn't be further from the truth. The owners are very loving to the animals.

This place is awful. It’s filthy and cluttered with animals in conditions that sometimes rival what you’d see on ASPCA commercials. A good portion of the birds on display have plucked the majority of their feathers out and are clearly stressed- the fish are left dead and floating amongst their counterparts- and apparently Tupperware makes an excellent habitat for heat and humidity sensitive geckos. I had hoped when they moved locations (I’m local) I would actually be able to leave the shop without tearing up at the animals conditions- instead all I left with was feces on my boots from the unswept floors. If you’re in need of a pet shop I’d make the trip over the mountain to Fish n More in Sylva who are both sanitary and extremely helpful (in addition to working with local shelters).

I recently purchased a bird from the store and I was able to get the sun conure for an amazing price they helped me pick the right cage, perches and toys for my bird the owner (Tom) got my bird as a baby and raised him. While he was a baby I was able to go to the store and play with, and bond with my bird. Tom taught me everything I needed to know about my bird and he even started basic training with him because this was my first bird. I will be able to get his beak and nails trimmed for the birds life for free. I will never go to any other pet store and I highly recommend the store for any pets you may want or have.

There were two male hedgehogs in one small cage (males are not supposed to be housed together) without any heat source or temp. And they had a wheel that was too small for them to even fit in. The fish tanks desperately needed cleaned and the other animals just did not look healthy. I feel bad for the animals.

I think this is a great pet store for a family looking for a new exotic pet. They have great deals on fish, birds, reptiles, and other pets and pet products. I recently bought some aquatic pets and supplies from them and so far everything is doing exceptionally well, and I will soon be making another trip there.
