Frogtown Market isn't one of the main roads in Franklin and so it can be easily missed, but it is easy to get to--just one block off East Palmer Street in downtown Franklin. The restaurant is clean, the prices are reasonable, and the service is good. The staff has always been exceptionally friendly. Just walk up to the counter, place your order, and find a table. Your order will be brought to you in a few minutes.

I always have heard it said that if you want a good meal, go where the locals eat. If you are in Franklin, North Carolina, one of those places is Frogtown Market. My wife and I are frequently in Franklin, and Frogtown is our favorite restaurant there. We always make it a point to eat at Frogtown--usually more than once per trip--and neither of us have ever had a bad meal there.

Frogtown isn't fancy, but what they do, they do well. They offer a variety of sandwiches: hot and cold hoagies, Cubans, burgers, grilled ham and cheese, etc. The menu also features salads and hot plates such as meat loaf, fried shrimp, fried frog legs, catfish, etc. I have had lots of different items from the menu and enjoyed them all. The one thing I would not order again is the pulled pork. It wasn't bad, but there are better places to get BBQ if that is what you want. My personal favorite menu item is the Cuban sandwich. It is the best I have had outside of an actual Cuban restaurant. My wife favors the mountain trout, which isn't a regular menu item, but is usually a menu special toward the end of the week when they have access to trout freshly caught from nearby mountain streams and rivers. I have ordered the trout myself, and it is very good. We have ordered desserts on occasion, and they have always been good, as well.
