My family has been "gem mining" for many years and this place was the best we used. We visited here in August of 2016 and loved it. The prices were fair, they were very helpful and friendly. We will be going back in a few days to do it again.
Our large family of 11 arrived and say all the signs for the types of salted buckets and their cost right away, so it didn't take long to get all of us seated and started. The woman behind the mine was quick and informative on what we needed to look for. The area was covered so the sun wasn't beating on us. The woman also told us to put a stone up in front and she would walk by and let us know what it was. She answered all of our questions and was super helpful! We had a blast finding so many different types of rocks and gems! After we had our bags filled we went into the shop and another awesome lady helped us identify all our stones! She was patient and helpful! We had so much fun that we came back a few days later! Love this place and would recommend it for anyone that wants to have a fun mining experience :)

I enjoyed coming here on a family vacation. The mining experience is good quality, however some items in the store can be found at a lower price at other mines in the area. If you have any rings or other valuables be careful and remove them before mining or they will be lost!
Just received garnet earrings and a green quartz ring from this mine that we had them make into jewelry after mining. The quality of the post for the earrings are so poor that they bent already I am almost positive this is not the ring I chose this one is so cheap it looks like kids play jewelry . I would not recommend this mine to any one. The quality is terrible. Even the cut is bad on stones.
