Cheap rent, close together, no amenities, many unkept permanents.
Very nice quiet campground. They give special rates for Passport America campers. They allow you to extend your stay for a little more than the PA discount but less then the full cost. This is the only campground where I have found that. It is family owned by very nice people. Very clean. We have camped here a number of times.
First time we visited this region of NC. The campground is just off Hwy 64 south of Franklin downtown. Centrally located to many attractions, waterfalls, hiking trails, fishing, etc. Owner lives on site. There are 50 sites that if full will be very close together. There is a mix of permanent and snow bird campers spending an extended time. The bathrooms are maintained and clean. There are horses, goats, and chickens on site which is nice to look at. It is pet friendly as well. If you have a Passport America or North America Camping Club membership they offer discounted rates.
Have been there many times over the last few years. Always have rented the Park model or camper. Tent camped once there. Great owners. Clean facilities. Dog friendly. Creek flows through campground. Conveniently located near Franklin. Many waterfall hikes and outdoor activities near by.
